Avery Snyder is a graphic designer and multidisciplinary artist. Her creative practice spans logo design and illustration alongside traditional fiber weaving, hand papermaking, and bookbinding – all anchored by a deep commitment to sustainable practices and upcycled materials.
Avery spent over a decade learning about environmental stewardship, working on organic farms across the United States through the WWOOF network and living off-grid in an intentional community. These experiences, combined with her work at a nonprofit focused on regional economic development, informed her decision to pursue a degree in Political Science, with a focus on advancing rural public policy, sustainable infrastructure, and regional planning.
She is honored to serve on the board of Southeast Ohio Fibershed to help foster a sustainable textile economy and create meaningful job opportunities for the Appalachian Ohio region.
