Betsy Franjola

Betsy Franjola is a textile specialist with 28 years of experience in the fashion industry, focused on sourcing and developing innovative fabrics. She owns and operates Betsy Franjola Fabric Studio (BFF Studio) in Los Angeles and is the founder of PREFACE, an industry trade show designed to educate brands about emerging textile technologies.

Betsy also launched the Hocking Hills Garment Center in Ohio, where she trains individuals in industrial sewing and leads a one-piece-flow manufacturing model centered on high-quality, slow-fashion production. Her passion is rebuilding the American clothing industry from the ground up. She believes deeply in the Fibershed philosophy, recognizing that true change begins with the farm—through locally grown fiber, natural dyes, and regional textile economies.
